Piano stairs, Piano iPhones – Piano Mondays! #musicmonday

October 12th, 2009 09:36pm by flipvine

Here’s a really awesome video from Volkswagen where a subway staircase is rigged to play like a piano when people walk on it.  Increases stair use by 60%!  Now if only you could make money off of that kind of scheme (only have the piano sounds work if you charge people like 2 cents or something… millions.. millions could be made! ;) ;) )

Also, as the title of this blog post promised, here’s a pretty sweet wifi-connected piano playing iPhone app from Yamaha (and the video clip in the article has a really bizzare singing humanoid clip at the end of it – looks like its pretty much only useful if you want to make your RealDoll sing while you’re banging it, at least as far as I can tell).

Cute sleepy animals, pretty sweet commercial.. wait WHAT?

October 10th, 2009 08:41pm by flipvine

Can anybody tell me what the logic behind these commercials is? I mean, I just don’t get it. Doesn’t get through to me at all.. i feel like the last 5 seconds of each commercial is pretty sufficient. I don’t mind all the little animals, but it just doesn’t seem like a good use of advertising time to me.

My baby has gas! Toot!

August 3rd, 2009 01:59pm by flipvine

my baby has gas! This has got to be one of the weirdest ads I have ever seen! “My baby has gas! toot!” lmao  First thing I thought when I saw the ad is how funny it would look on a t-shirt.

And that’s quite a cloud of gas that baby’s got over its head.  Perhaps proper ventilation is in order – or maybe recycling all that methane to heat the house in the winter ;)   The ad leads to a pretty reasonable article but I think they’re probably getting more clickthroughs from folks that see comedy in the ad rather than a resource for moms.

I wonder if Twitter Moms are anything like Mommy Bloggers (Loren Feldman of 1938media has something to say about them :-D )

The next funniest ad I’ve seen is the Trojan Extansy ad, which is in a completely different category, but equally bizzare.

The Wingman (we’re bringing back the Wingman Song too)

In response to sinkpock’s excellent Total Babe post I submit to you – The Wingman, because for every Total Babe, as sinkpock demonstrated, there is an incredibly ugly friend that needs to be distracted.
